- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I used them to finance my home originally (not by my choice). When I went to refinance my house I asked them for their rates, so I could cross shop with the lenders title company. I had never done this before, and the online blogs suggested I contact my original title company for a quote to see if they would be the lenders choice of title companies. The woman who answered the phone was obviously not interested when I mentioned I was cross shopping title insurance with the lenders choice. She immediately was not helpful, curt, and obviously not interested in earning business, once I mentioned I was cross-shopping fee's. I'd recommend avoiding them, title companies are a dime a dozen, and the insurance rates are fixed by the state of Texas. So fee's are the negotiating point, and they aren't interested in being competitive, or in explaining the process.December 22, 2016by A Google User
